This lightweight device comes in five sizes to accommodate a large variety of fracture sites. Treatment is initiated with the press of a button, and the unit counts down from 30 minutes and indicates when treatment is finished with an audible tone. The device can be used for the noninvasive treatment of an established nonunion acquired secondary to trauma, excluding vertebrae and all flat bones. A nonunion is considered to be established when the fracture site shows no visibly progressive signs of healing. The device can be used with internal or external fixation or over a cast.
