Blood recovery is the main purpose for which this system should be designed; other applications are optional like plasma sequestration, for example.
These units should be equipped to display the following cycle mode, pump, wash speed, wash volume, and alarms.
Units containing an integral regulated aspirator are preferred, though this feature is not required.
The instruments should display operator messages and individual and cumulative bowl tallies.
